Our mission at oregontrailrvcampground.com is to provide restful camping to our customers to allow them to just be and be rejuvenated by their surroundings. We have planted 17 new shrubs and trees with plans for more, along with some flowers and wildflower seeds scattered around to attract more wildlife. Birds are prevalent with many coming to bird watch as there are a variety of species to enjoy.
2023 was our first Winter Open. We are now a year round campground. Just remember you need a heated hose to stay hooked up to the water faucet. If you do not have one then you are welcome to fill your tank but you need to disconnect from the faucet once filled to avoid any damage from freezing. Our faucets are insulated and have a thermostat controlled heat tape but if you do not have a heated hose and remain connected you will liable for any and all damages.
Yes, we welcome all pets at the campground as long as they fit inside your vehicle and when they are outside they are leashed. Please pick up after your pet. You will pay extra charges if you litter or do not clean up after your pet. No more than 2 pets per campsite please.
Yes, we do. We have 3 designated Tent Campsites. Two on the north tip of the RV Spaces under a large cotton wood and one on the south under an Elm away from the RV sites. There are more tent sites being put in among the trees and scrub on the north end of the property Feel free to use the restroom and shower and to fill up hand held containers with water at an available faucet and use the dumpster.
Yes. We have one standard square shower with a detachable shower head. The shower/restroom does not have AC but it does have hot water. Please be sure to clean up any standing water on the floor after your shower and make sure the water is completely turned off. Parents if you have kids please put your eyes on the water to make sure it is not still on and ensure that the outside trailer door is fully latched as leaving it unlatched has caused lots of damage in the past, and thank you.
Yes we do! We have one working restroom with toilet, shower, vanity, sink and mirror.
We are still remodeling the shower trailer so please excuse our mess and respect the space. We will soon have a laundry room with a functioning washer and dryer as well next to the restroom.
Check the Nebraska State website or the Governor's website or just Google Nebraska fire bans and check for news updates, maps will often be shown and we are in Garden county close to Keith County. Do not start a fire if NE has banned open flame. Open fire bans include charcoal briquettes , wood, etc. Depending on the ban you may be able to have a propane fire in a container designed for the purpose such as an elevated patio fire bowl. Sometimes even this kind of contained fire is banned.
Yes, we do. We have split out costs to booking services a la carte' so while boon-docking if you need a dump-station or a water tank fill up you can do that as well. Just book a space and a service or book an RV space that comes with all services already.
We do! Call us to discuss your parties size and needs. We are working on building some more community spaces. Currently we have a smaller campfire pit with large tree trunk benches nearest to site #1 and close to 2 tent sites. We have a larger campfire pit and tree trunk benches in back of the shower trailer and soon there will be gravel back there as well. Just remember to check the Nebraska State website for Fire Bans before lighting a fire.
We have 2 large wall/cabin tents with wood stoves that can be setup for you as well as smaller traditional tents for 4. Just call us to talk about what, when and how much. We are working on having permanent wall tents year round on site.
