Oregon Trail RV Campground (OTRVCG) has a rich history and has been a beloved destination for generations of families for several decades now. From the migration of 80% of the worlds sand-hill crane population converging on the 75 miles of the North Platte River right next to us to the summer long travel season of lake and beach goers to the Ash Hollow Pageant on Father's Day weekend or the Rendezvous on the second weekend of September there is plenty to take part in. Recently under new ownership our goal is to make a place where people can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and connect with nature. We strive to maintain a welcoming and peaceful environment for our guests and we appreciate you doing the same while staying here.
We recently winterized the water supply so this is our first winter open! Just remember that you also need a heated hose to leave the water hooked up. If you do not have one you can still fill up your tank just remember to disconnect from the faucet.
This serene field is nestled near the North Platte River. OTRVCG offers pleasant views and a tranquil setting. 12 miles from Lake McCounaghy and its white sandy beaches https://outdoornebraska.gov/location/lake-mcconaughy/ , 2 miles from Ash Hollow https://calendar.outdoornebraska.gov/venue/ash-hollow-state-historical-park/ and Clear Creek Wildlife Refuge https://www.visitgardencounty.com/clear-creek-wildlife-refuge.html ; our 12-acre property is mostly undeveloped and consists of a line of mature cottonwoods that cast shade over the RV sites and a line of wind blocking cedars. We offer a variety of camping options, from tent sites to RV hookups and soon rustic cabins and hunting / wall tents. We are currently working on installing restrooms, showers, campfires and laundry facilities. So whether you are campers, boaters, wind surfers, swimmers, water skiers, picnickers, scuba divers, hunters, fishermen, hikers, trekkers, history buffs or just passing through there is plenty to do.
